If there is a place where you can look for 360 degrees around and fall in love with the scenery, the food, the people and the birds… that place are the Rupununi savannas in Guyana. Landing in the airstrip (or driving for those coming from the pre-tour) of Rock View Lodge provided that kind of feeling of being in a truly natural area, far from technology and the distractions of urban life. Here, museums are replaced by wetlands or endeless savannas and their beauty changes from golden and fiery sunrises to brightly mornings, hot afternoons and yellow sunsets.
